Coastal Boho Summer Wedding | Sneads Ferry, NC

Y’all, I’m not kidding when I say I am still obsessing over Morgan and Derek’s coastal boho summer wedding. Not only is Morgan so kind, beautiful, and just an all-around amazing person; but she is also so dang talented. She designed most of the pampas grass florals for their wedding day. My mind is still blown!

Morgan and Derek celebrated their love on a piece of land that overlooks the location where they got engaged, Hatches Rock. How cool is that?

I asked Morgan to spill all the details about their proposal story and here is what she said: “Derek & I were taking a walk around the island, looking for clams, & he grabbed my hand turned to me, got on one knee, and asked me to spend forever with him!! I was completely shocked & caught off guard. I honestly feel like I partly blacked out, but he told me I said YES 3 times! I never expected it to happen then with such a big weekend of events for other people in my family, but it was perfect, intimate, and really sweet. I looked up to see my parents, brother & sister in law, all smiling, crying, & capturing our moment. They knew all along his plan, & it meant so much to me that they were there to share it with us. It was such a special & emotional day for us all.”

Morgan also had some advice for future wedding couples: “Choose what you two want & worry less about pleasing everyone else, it is your day! It’s so much easier to plan & much less stressful that way. Enjoy the process, show details that represent you as a couple, pictures & videos last a lifetime.”

One of my favorite moments from Morgan and Derek’s wedding day was when Morgan’s bridesmaids surprised her with a shotski since she wasn’t able to have one in Nashville for her bachelorette weekend! So dang thoughtful and so much fun!! Check out some of the highlights from their sweet day! <3
